The name ‘Dunedin’ comes from the Scotis Gaelic word 'Dùn Èideann,' meaning Edinburgh. Originally, Scottish families settled here in 1899. Dunedin has very strong Scottish roots and traditions that are maintained to this day. The city hosts a number of annual festivals like the Highland Games, and the very popular Mardi Gras celebration. It is home to a number of exotic beaches and some rare open waterfront communities. There is much to do in and around Dunedin, Sperry Lake, the Dunedin Highland Memorial Park and Grant Field to name a few!!!! Check out the below link to see the newest properties that I found that just hit the market!!
